A full-day journey from Tirana across the Albanian-Kosovan border into Prizren — Kosovo's most beautiful city and its constitutional historical capital. Nestled on the banks of the Prizren River between the foothills of the Sharr Mountains, Prizren is a remarkable blend of Bronze Age history, Byzantine heritage, Ottoman splendour, and modern Albanian-Kosovan culture.
The city has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. Its fortress has seen Roman, Byzantine, Serbian, and Ottoman rule — serving as the capital of the Serbian Empire under Stefan Dušan before the Ottomans captured it in 1455. Today, Prizren is one of the Balkans' most charming destinations: a UNESCO-recognised cultural landscape of mosques, medieval bridges, cobblestone bazaars, and mountains rising behind.
We visit the Prizren Fortress (Kalaja e Prizrenit), the historic Old Bazaar with its Ottoman-era shops and cafés, the iconic Gazi Mehmet Pasha Mosque (Sinan Pasha Mosque), and the Stone Bridge over the Prizren River. Time is also allowed for shopping in Prizren's modern malls. We return to Tirana around 21:00.

We depart from Opera Palace, Tirana heading north into Kosovo — approximately 170 km and 2.5 hours, crossing the Albanian-Kosovan border on the way to Prizren.
