It takes only 15 minutes to climb to the higher Mountain of Tirana, Dajti, 1613 m, with Cable Car.

The journey provides a kind of summary of life in Albania and its history. The streets become unpaved and the run-down village houses more remote. Dajti Ruins are the oldest settlements of Tirana, dating 10,000 to 30,000 years ago. Further along you can spot the infamous military bunkers, the gruesome location of countless executions of political prisoners during communist rule. As they say in Albania, “these mountains are full of skeletons”.

There will have a lot of activities to do like

  1. Horsin
  2. Shooting (air guns)
  3. Adventure park

After having lunch on Dajti mountain we will have optional to visit BUNK ART 1

The “BUNK’ART” project started in November 2014, with the opening to the public of BUNK’ART 1, a museum video exhibition set up inside the atomic bunker of the dictator Enver Hoxha on the outskirts of Tirana, and continued with the opening on November 19, 2016 of BUNK ART 2 in the center of the capital. While BUNK’ART 1 is dedicated to the history of the communist Albanian army and the daily life of Albanians during the years of the regime, BUNK’ART 2 reconstructs the history of the Ministry of the Interior in Albania from 1912 to 1991 and reveals the secrets of the Sigurimi, the political police which was a harsh weapon of persecution used by Enver Hoxha’s regime. The creator and general curator of the BUNK’ART project is Italian journalist Carlo Bollino, while the historical research staff is led by journalist Admirina Peçi. The BUNK’ART project is supported by the Albanian NGO “Cendra Ura”.
